who is your favourite cricketing legend, this topic should throw up some real blasts from the past.
Start you off with my selection, Sunil Manohar Gavaskar. As the best opening batsman of the last half centuary and arguably of all time. By the time he had played 50 test matches he had already scored 20 test centuries, a century almost every other match. This has only been achieved by one other batsman in the entire history of the game, one Sir Donald George Bradman and this by facing some of the all time great bowlers, Malcolm Marshall, Micheal Holding, Andy Roberts, joel Garner, Dennis Lillee, Jeff Thompson, Imran Khan, Richard Haddlee and the list goes on and on and on. |

Surely this is in the wrong section Admin.
But while we're on the subject, the greatest cricketer to walk the earth has to be WG Grace. |

Greeney, I was thinking about cricketers that we have actually seen play. Admin I am sorry if I have put this in the wrong place, still getting used to the system. |

Sir Richard Hadlee without a doubt.
Am I showing my age and my patriotism too obviously here? |
