Plan now to be in Walhalla on Saturday, April 14th, 2007 for the long-anticipated return bout, where a locally-assembled team of flanneled fools will again take on the might of the Melbourne Cricket Club. Feel free to come along dressed in turn-of-the-(last-)century costume, with your straw boaters and parasols in keeping with the Gold Rush Era theme of the day.
Played on one of Australia’s most historic cricket pitches perched atop a mountain excavated by gold rush era miners, the Match of the Century is sure to entertain young and old. So pencil in the above date for a visit to one of Victoria’s most scenic and historic towns where time has stood still for more than a century.
